  • Sharps are making four bets on Wednesday's college basketball slate.
  • Here are the games pros are playing and how they're moving lines.

Wednesday's college basketball slate isn't exactly the most exciting we've seen so far this season. While Villanova vs. Ohio State does offer a matchup of top 25 teams, just three of the remaining 43-game slate includes a ranked team.

While that's certainly not a recipe for overwhelming public action, it's music to the ears of professional bettors.

Just like casual bettors, oddmakers have yet to wrap their heads around this season's college basketball teams, meaning there are opportunities to find soft lines, especially due to the sheer number of games college hoops offers.

Remember, sportsbooks have to set lines for most games, while bettors just need to find something — a spread, total, etc. — that's off.

And when it comes to tonight's college basketball schedule, sharps are pouncing on four such instances of soft lines, two of which are coming from the same game.

Wednesday's College Basketball Sharp Report

Ball State vs. Illinois Chicago

8 p.m. ET

Ball State opened as a 2-point road favorite and sharps are having no problem laying this number. Sports Insights' Bet Signals, which track and report professional betting action in real-time, triggered a Steam Move on the Cardinals early Wednesday morning.

This influx of money from respected bettors has driven the line up to Ball State -4.5 across the market.

Tennessee-Martin vs. Western Illinois

8 p.m. ET

This total opened at 155 and has been driven down by one-sided action largely coming from sharps.

Not only has 95% of all money wagered on this total hit the under, but wiseguys have steamed that side at 154.5 and again at 154, revealing that professional action is the reason for the move to 152.5.

But the sharps didn't stop there. Pros popped Tennessee-Martin twice this morning, knocking the number down from +2 to +1 across the market.

Providence vs. Northwestern

9 p.m. ET

In our first two games, sharps have hit spreads and unders, so why not finish up with an over?

The Providence-Northwestern over/under opened at 130.5, and behind two steam moves has been blasted up to the current number of 135. Some books have even kicked the total up to 135.5, so the key question now is whether bettors will buyback the move, or if this number will continue to climb.
