Kansas is the No. 1 seed in the West Region, but the Jayhawks have their work cut out for them.
At +330 odds, they are just barely favored over UCLA to head to the Final Four. The No. 2 seed, UCLA, is +340 to win the region at FanDuel.
The region’s three-seed, the dreaded Gonzaga Bulldogs, are just behind them at +420. In what felt like a down year for the Zags, Gonzaga went 28-5 with losses to No. 1 seed Purdue, No. 2 seed Texas and No. 3 seed Baylor.
The No. 4 seed in the West Region is also expected to be a popular pick to get out of this corner of the bracket. UConn was in the mix as one of the top teams in the country since starting 14-0. The Huskies are currently +600 to get to the Final Four on FanDuel.
Further down the list, there’s a small drop-off to the fifth seed as TCU is +850 to earn a trip to Houston. TCU boasts one of the top scorers in the country with Mike Miles Jr.
Arkansas will likely be a popular sleeper pick after recent runs in the NCAA Tournament. The Razorbacks are +1700 to get out of the region.
The West appears to be one of the toughest regions on paper.
