In one of the many intriguing conference tournament matchups on Monday evening, Northern Kentucky will take on Youngstown State as the two teams look to book a place in the Horizon League championship.
When Youngstown State and Northern Kentucky met in the regular season, the Penguins earned a dominant 74-56 win. The No. 1 seed is now the favorite to advance into the championship game.
It wasn’t an easy path to this stage for Youngstown State, however, as they had to fend off an upset effort from Detroit Mercy in the last round. The Titans held a lead at the break and had a serious shot of completing the upset.
