The Southern Conference Tournament is among the most wide open tournaments this year, according to oddsmakers. Five teams have odds less than +1000 to win, which is among the most in any college basketball conference tournament.
Samford has the shortest odds at +155. Meanwhile, UNC Greensboro is +450, Furman +500, Western Carolina +550 and Chattanooga +600.
Samford is the Southern Conference Tournament's top seed for the first time since joining the league in 2008. The Bulldogs' 26 wins are the most in school history.
