As Arizona State enters its fourth season under head coach Herm Edwards, expectations are high for the team in the legal betting market.

The team finished just 2-2 in the 2020 COVID-19-shortened season, but the team built upon a 7-6 first season under Edwards with an 8-5 record in 2019. The Sun Devils also won the Sun Bowl that year and had a high rank of No. 17 in the AP poll.

The Sun Devils begin the season ranked No. 20 by The Action Network's Brett McMurphy, which is right in line with Collin Wilson's power rating rank of 19th in the country.

There are multiple ways to invest in the Sun Devils this season, from their chances to win the national title or Pac-12 South to quarterback Jayden Daniels taking home the Heisman.

Here are a couple ways to bet on Arizona State this year in the futures market.

National Title & College Football Playoff Odds

Arizona State is a longshot to win the national championship at (+10000) at DraftKings, however only 19 teams have a better number on the board.

The truth is almost every team is a relative longshot to win the title outside of the big five of Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Georgia.

In the Pac-12, Oregon (+4000), USC (+5000) and Washington (+8000) all have better odds to win it all than Arizona State.

Confident Arizona State can make a run before falling short to Alabama in the end? The Sun Devils can be had at +1800 to make the College Football Playoff.

Pac-12 Conference Odds

Arizona State hasn't won the Pac-12 since 2007, but this may be one of its best chances to do so.

While PointsBet lists ASU fourth on the oddsboard to win the conference, the odds aren't that far behind the rest. The Devils are +450, behind Oregon (+225), USC (+350) and Washington (+350).

In order to win the Pac-12, ASU must first win the South division. DraftKings pegs them at +240 to do so, behind USC (+180) and Utah (+230).

Win Total Odds

For the Devils to top their win total in 2021, it will require the best season under Edwards yet.

DraftKings has Arizona State's win total at 8.5. The over is juiced to -120 with the under coming back at even money.

ASU starts the season with three of its first four games at home against Southern Utah, UNLV and Colorado. They travel to BYU for Week 3.

Three tough road games could dictate how the season goes. Arizona State travels to UCLA, Utah and Washington. However, Edwards and Co. will have the advantage of hosting USC and avoiding Oregon.

Heisman Hopeful

If Arizona State exceeds expectations this year, junior quarterback Jayden Daniels figures to be a big reason why.

In four games last season, Daniels threw 5 touchdowns to just a single interception, which followed up his freshman season where he had a 17:2 touchdown:interception ratio. He ran for four more touchdowns and topped 80 yards on the ground in half his games in 2020.

The dual-threat will start for his third season and comes in at +3500 to win the Heisman Trophy at DraftKings. He's a touch longer at +4000 at FanDuel.
