Consider These Two Big Ten Regular-Season Win Total Bets
The NFL draft has officially started, leaving oddsmakers with college football win totals as the next checkpoint in the futures department. One book started with the SEC and has now released the Big Ten regular-season win totals. Let's take a look at the openers by division before getting into the two unders that I think hold substantial value.
Penn State Under 9.5
This grabbed my attention right away, as the Nittany Lions have plenty of coin flips on their schedule: Ohio State, Michigan State, Wisconsin, at Michigan. They also could have growing pains, as they rank 116th in Returning Production. I had PSU closer to 8.5, with the juice shaded to the over.
Northwestern Under 7.5
I couldn't get enough down on Northwestern's season win total over in 2017, but will surely invest in the under this season. Quarterback Clayton Thorson's status is still undetermined after he tore an ACL in the Music City Bowl. The Wildcats have four coin flip games on their schedule: at Purdue, Duke, at Iowa, at Minnesota, in addition to four others where they barely have a prayer: Michigan, at Michigan State, Wisconsin, Notre Dame. I make this closer to 6.5, with the juice shaded to the under. Value for days at the current number.
