Notes

  • There's no time for the Trojans to lick their wounds as they go to Tempe on a second week of road travel. The winner of the USC and Arizona State will control the Pac-12 South.
  • The Clemson defense has had two weeks to prepare for the Georgia Tech option attack, but how much of the bye week did the Tigers spend preparing for North Carolina State in Week 10?
  • The Irish fall into a hangover scenario after a top-10 win against USC. Notre Dame now hosts NC State, who may be on overlook to Clemson.
  • Fresno State had one of the bigger power rating adjustments of the season to make UNLV +10. This line could skyrocket further for the Bulldogs as UNLV QB Armani Rogers suffered a head injury that will have him in concussion protocol. His status for this game will not be determined until the end of the week.
  • Iowa State controls their own destiny in the Big 12 race. TCU travels to Ames but could be on overlook to Texas in Week 10.
  • North Carolina and Duke may fall into favorable spots against Miami and Virginia Tech, respectively. Both the Hurricanes and Hokies will clash for the Coastal in Week 10.
  • The Ohio State spread should sit in the dead zone north of a touchdown hosting Penn State. The Nittany Lions may come out flat after a physical and emotional drumming of Michigan.
  • There is plenty of overlook to Week 10 on this slate, but none bigger than Bedlam between Oklahoma State and Oklahoma. Texas Tech visits Norman while West Virginia hosts the Cowboys this week.
  • UMass put up 670 yards of offense in Week 8 and hosts a nonconference sandwich game against Appalachian State. The Mountaineers have had fourth quarter comebacks weekly and may not game prep for the Minutemen with conference travel to ULM in Week 10.
  • Arkansas falls to 2-5 and Bret Bielema will have the hottest of seats in college football. QB Austin Allen's status is unknown, while Ole Miss QB Shea Patterson is out.
