With USC’s loss to Utah in the Pac-12 Championship Game, the Ohio State Buckeyes seem destined for this year’s College Football Playoff. And a TCU loss to Kansas State on Saturday could further shake things up, allowing the Crimson Tide to sneak in the back door.
The defending champion Bulldogs opened at +450 right after the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship in January, trailing only the Alabama Crimson Tide (+250). Ohio State was right behind Georgia at +700, with Michigan several spots back at +1500.
TCU, meanwhile, was a whopping +20000 to win it all in January — odds that shortened all the way to +1200 ahead of conference championship week.
That’s where they remain, pending the Horned Frogs taking care of business against Kansas State on Saturday.
