College football Week 6 is here, so it's time to take a look at the odds board and see what kind of value we can find before lines move this week.

After a stellar start to the season, Action Network senior writer Collin Wilson came through with a Friday night pick in the Mountain West.

Let's dive into Wilson's college football picks and NCAAF predictions for New Mexico vs. San Jose State in Week 6 below.

Our college football Week 6 early bet comes through the Mountain West under the Friday night lights.

Both San Jose State and New Mexico will kick off conference play this week, but these teams have had a different experience through the month of September.

The Spartans have failed to record a win over an FBS program and needed a fourth-quarter comeback in their lone victory over FCS Idaho. Year 2 of the Ken Niumatalolo era has been a different experience without star wide receiver Nick Nash.

Speaking of Idaho, first-year New Mexico head coach Jason Eck is enjoying his first month with the Lobos after three seasons in the same role for the Vandals.

The Lobos covered in an opening loss to Michigan and later won outright as three-score underdogs to UCLA.

Eck’s zone-read style of offense looks to control the line of scrimmage in a physical game.

San Jose State's defense comes in as one of the worst in the nation in numerous categories, ranking poorly in Havoc while sitting dead last in PFF coverage grading.

The biggest advantage for New Mexico's offense comes in the form of a trio of running backs that run behind an offensive line that ranks sixth in Stuff Rate. No opponent has found a way to stop the Lobos behind the line of scrimmage.

San Jose State sits 129th in tackles for loss, so the Lobos offense should move the chains consistently on Friday night.

Still, the news gets worse for the Spartans on the other side of the ball. SJSU's offensive line has been unable to execute in pass protection, ranking 129th in pass blocking and allowing 45 pressures on quarterback Walker Eget in 173 dropbacks.

The Spartans throw on 65% of snaps but have issues on possessions that approach the goal line. In drives crossing the opponent's 40-yard line, San Jose State has averaged just 2.3 points per trip.

I'll take the Lobos to cover the short number in this Friday night Mountain West clash.

Pick: New Mexico +2.5
