Miami (OH) vs Ohio College Football Betting Preview
Miami (OH) RedHawks Betting Preview: Emphasis on the Run
Miami comes in hot, winning all four of its MAC games by multiple scores and completely erasing the memory of its 0-3 start to this season.
Quarterback Dequan Finn has been excellent in league play, averaging nearly eight yards per pass attempt with a 5:1 touchdown-to-interception ratio.
The ground game has been efficient behind the two-headed monster of Jordan Brunson and Kenny Tracy, and the offensive line has played really good football over the last three weeks.
This offense appears to be locked in and fully focused. Now, I'm excited to see this quarterback matchup between Finn and Ohio’s Parker Navarro.
The Miami defense has really played well since MAC play started, as the RedHawks have allowed just 17 points per game over the last four weeks.
The front seven has logged three sacks in each game, and this bunch is finding its way into the backfield frequently, creating negative plays.
Miami has been strong in the pass game but was torched in the second half against Eastern Michigan when those two traded scores.
The pass rush will have to make plays this week if Miami is to find the win column and grab control in the MAC title race.
Ohio Bobcats Betting Preview: Bob and Weave
Ohio has rebounded nicely from an embarrassing road loss against Ball State to rattle off back-to-back wins over Northern Illinois and Eastern Michigan, as the Bobcats find themselves squarely in the thick of the conference race.
Navarro has been sharp, and the pass game has been explosive.
If the ground game is moving and the offensive line is playing well, this offense can be nearly impossible to stop in the MAC. However, the Bobs have struggled with negative plays and sacks, something that would cost them here against the RedHawks.
Defensively, Ohio has made enough stops to find the win column, but this Bobcat defense is far from good. The secondary can be exposed, although we haven’t seen it play out much due to the opponents on the schedule.
Bowling Green, Ball State and NIU don't have proficient passing attacks, but Ohio was shredded by EMU last time out. If the front seven can't get pressure this week, Miami should be able to have success and score some points.

Miami (OH) vs Ohio Pick, Betting Analysis
This is one of the more underrated rivalries at the G5 level, as these two are set to engage in the Battle for the Bricks.
We should see a close and entertaining matchup, and while weather can often affect weekday MACtion, it won't factor into this one.
I think this game will be higher scoring, but I'm going to isolate the RedHawks team total over in this one.
Ohio has been winning games in league play this season, but it hasn't happened on the backs of its defensive unit. It has played some of the worst offensive teams in the MAC and has still allowed at least 20 points in every MAC contest this season.
The Ohio run stop unit is allowing five yards per carry on the season against FBS competition, so I expect Finn to have some big plays on the ground to extend drives.
Ohio has a weak pass rush, which grades out in the bottom third in the MAC this season, per PFF. The Bobcats' front seven has only two sacks total in the last three games, and the secondary isn't strong enough to be tasked with covering the explosive Miami receivers.
I expect Kam Perry and Keith Reynolds to have several chances to connect on deep shots.
Miami has a massive special teams edge, and the Ohio coverage units have been shaky at times this season. I wouldn't be surprised to see a key special teams play set Miami up with a short field, which would further provoke scoring.
The RedHawks' field-goal operation has been extremely reliable as well.
This is such an important game and should be a fun battle on Tuesday night. With the Miami team total currently at 23.5, I think there's value in that number because the offense should have the upper hand against the Ohio defense.
Pick: Miami (OH) Team Total Over 23.5
