Eastern Michigan Eagles Odds & Betting Guide - 2026 Season 

Eastern Michigan went 4-8 last season and 3-5 in the MAC. That is a third losing record in a row. The Eagles lost at home to LIU, an FCS team, and sat 1-5 in late October before winning three of their last six.

The defense caused most of the issues for the program Opponents ran for 232.1 yards a game against Eastern Michigan, the worst figure in the country. Chris Creighton changed his staff in December. He moved on from defensive coordinator Ben Needham and handed the responsibility of fixing it to chaches, Tate Omli and Kasey Teegardin.

The offense is in better shape. Quarterback Noah Kim led the MAC with 2,817 passing yards and comes back for 2026, along with his top three receivers: Nick Devereaux, Harold Mack and Joshua Long.

So you have a settled offense and a defense starting over. Keep that in mind while you read Eagles prices for the 2026 college football season. Creighton is in year 13 and has not reached a bowl since 2023.

Eastern Michigan Point Spreads

Point spreads are a popular bet one can make on either team in a college football game and are based on the margin of victory for the winning team.

An Eastern Michigan spread might look like this:

• Eastern Michigan +3.5 (-110)
• Bowling Green -3.5 (-110)

A 31-28 loss for Eastern Michigan is still a win for spread bettors since the three-point margin of defeat is less than the 3.5-point spread. Spread tickets on the Eagles would cash with any loss of three or fewer points, or an outright win.

Eastern Michigan went 7-5 against the spread last season while going 4-8 straight up. In plain terms, they lost more often than they won but they kept games closer than the numbers expected.

Two scheduling quirks are worth bearing in mind. Eastern Michigan hosts Central Michigan at Ford Field on Nov. 4, a home game 40 miles from campus in a mostly empty NFL stadium, so the usual home-field bump barely applies. The Eagles also finish with two Tuesday games in eight days, which leaves less preparation time than normal.

Eastern Michigan Over/Unders

Over/unders, or totals, are bets on the number of points scored in the game. 

The Eagles went 6-6 to the over and under in 2025, which hides some insight for bettors. Through the first six games, Eagles games produced 60 combined points on average. Over the last six, that fell to 47 flat. 

A lacking defense was behind the split in scores. Allowing an average of 35.7 points per game early and 23.8 late on in. There are new coaches leading that side of the ball but if nothing improves through the first few games, the over could be the way to go. If the odds are there.

While spread bets depend on the amount of the victory, moneyline bets are a bit simpler, as all that matters is which team wins. Let's look at an example:

• Eastern Michigan -160
• Miami (OH) +180

The minus (-) and plus (+) signs distinguish the favorite from the underdog, making Eastern Michigan the favorite in this scenario. Odds can be understood more clearly if you think in terms of $100 increments. A wager on the Eagles odds would mean every $160 bet nets $100. And it's the opposite for underdogs: Here, the Miami (OH) moneyline was set at +180, meaning a $100 wager would profit $180.

Moneylines are also commonly used when making parlays, which are multiple bets tied into one. Eastern Michigan Props

Player props are bets on how much of a specific statistic a player will accumulate.

For EMU it is worth remebering their successes last season came through the air, and their QB is returning. The Eagles averaged 234.8 passing yards a game, second most in the MAC, against 142.5 on the ground.

Eastern Michigan Futures

Futures are somewhat similar to prop bets in the way both are monitored over the course of a season. We have found two futures bets we like the look of for EMU this season: 

• EMU Win Total 5.5 (-150) - Six wins also makes Eastern Michigan bowl-eligible, so the win total and the bowl question are the same bet.
• The conference title - Eastern Michigan is +1000 to win the MAC, sixth shortest price among 13 teams. Toledo, Miami (OH) and Western Michigan are the favorites.

The Eagles made the biggest jmup in the MAC futures markets this summer. Books priced them near +1400 have since shortened them to +1000 by late August without a snap being played. Eastern Michigan Conference - Mid-American Conference (MAC)

The MAC has 13 teams in 2026. Northern Illinois left for the Mountain West and Sacramento State replaced it, moving up from the FCS. Nothing else changed, so the opponents across the conference are mostly the same names as last year.

Nobody has seen Sacramento State play at this level, so prices in that game are closer to guesswork than usual. And Eastern Michigan drew one of the easiest schedules in the country. Easier schedules push win totals up.
