Oklahoma State Betting Stats & 2019 Season Profile

  • Season Record: 8-4
  • Against-the-Spread Record: 9-3
  • Conference: Big 12
  • Offense Yards Per Play Rank: 22
  • Defense Yards Per Play Rank: 80
  • S&P+ Special Teams Rank: 56

Analysis: The Cowboys had a highly successful season, eclipsing their preseason win total of 7. Oklahoma State covered nine games this season and groomed next-level talent with quarterback Spencer Sanders, wide receiver Tylan Wallace and running back Chuba Hubbard. Both Sanders and Wallace will be out of the bowl game due to injury, with Hubbard’s decision on the NFL expected before the bowl game. Mike Gundy, who has been the coach since 2005, has posted a 7-6 against-the-spread mark in bowl games. The Cowboys have covered four of their past five bowl games with the lone loss coming to Ole Miss in the 2015 Sugar Bowl. — Collin Wilson

Texas A&M Betting Stats & 2019 Season Profile

  • Season Record: 7-5
  • Against-the-Spread Record: 6-5-1
  • Conference: SEC
  • Offense Yards Per Play Rank: 67
  • Defense Yards Per Play Rank: 35
  • S&P+ Special Teams Rank: 45

Analysis: The Aggies finished the season losing their final two games of the season to Georgia and LSU. There is no shame in the Texas A&M 7-5 record, taking three other losses to Alabama, Auburn and Clemson. A young and injured offensive line was the source of many issues on offense, while the defense was hampered with a declining secondary that ranked 83rd in defensive pass explosiveness. From and NFL draft perspective, keep a lookout for defensive tackle Justin Madubuike who led the team in sacks. Jimbo Fisher is 5-3 against the spread in bowl games dating back to 2010. –Collin Wilson
