We all held our breath last week as Philip Rivers made his return to the NFL and in truth, it was a little better than we all expected.

Against a very good Seahawks defense, he did enough to keep the scoreboard ticking over and the Colts only narrowly lost 18-16.

He only threw for 120 yards and I’m not keen on taking his over for passing yards. However, the completions line looks like a smart one to tackle. He had 18 completions last week and threw the ball 27 times.

Another week practicing with his teammates and you’d expect an improved performance. The 49ers are averaging 23.5 completions allowed per game and a week back into his return, we’ll see Rivers closer to that number than his line of 17.5.

Pick: Phillip Rivers Over 17.5 Pass Completions (-115)

Christian McCaffrey Over 38.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

The Colts have only allowed an average of 26 receiving yards per game to opposing running backs — but Christian McCaffrey isn’t any old running back. He’s just as dangerous in the receiving game as he is on the ground and is lethal if he can get into the open field.

McCaffrey's averaged 58.5 receiving yards per game this season and has had 39 or more receiving yards in 12-of-14 games this season.

Pick: Christian McCaffrey Over 38.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

Michael Pittman Over 31.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

The Niners are in the bottom half of the league in terms of passing yards allowed per game, but with Rivers under center the bookies are expecting poorer than usual numbers for Colts receivers.

I’m not fading the Colts wideouts, and with Michael Pittman, I want to attack the line, with 31.5 receiving yards feeling very low.

Across the season, we’ve seen Pittman average 51.7 receiving yards per game, and he’s covered this line in nine of 14 games.

This comes down to whether you think we’ll see increased production from Rivers. I’m inclined to think we will and had Pittman caught two of the five targets that he didn’t catch in Week 15, then he’d probably have broken the 32-yard mark then too.

Pick: Michael Pittman Over 31.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

Tyler Warren Anytime Touchdown (+275)

Colts TE Tyler Warren offers the best value anytime touchdown selection on Monday Night Football, with the 49ers allowing nine touchdowns to tight ends this season, a number that only three teams have exceeded this season.

This really is a prime matchup to target for Warren. In the past two weeks, we’ve seen Gunnar Helm and Harold Fannin Jr. both find the end zone against the 49ers.

There’s already a connection forming with Rivers and Warren led the Colts in targets last week in his first game with his new QB.

Pick: Tyler Warren Anytime Touchdown (+275)
