Carolina Panthers vs New Orleans Saints NFL Preview

I’m backing the Saints to win outright as home underdogs against the Panthers this Sunday.

The Saints have been feisty as of late, and quarterback Tyler Shough has been playing pretty well for them. The rookie showed out in the upset win over the Buccaneers, going 13-of-20 for 144 passing yards and adding 55 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

I also liked what I saw from Saints' running back Devin Neal last week — 70 rushing yards and one touchdown — against a good Bucs rush defense.

The Panthers aren't going to generate a ton of pressure on the defensive side of the ball, which should open things up for New Orleans' offense.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the ball, Bryce Young's numbers almost always take a dip on the road.

In my opinion, the Panthers are getting too much credit in the betting market for their latest win over the Rams.

The Rams did whatever they wanted against Carolina's defense in that game. The Panthers scored on two fourth downs and forced a bunch of turnovers, while giving up eight yards per play.

Panthers vs Saints Betting Predictions, Analysis

I'll take New Orleans as my moneyline underdog pick for Week 15.

The Panthers' defense isn't great and they're not going to put up much pressure on Tyler Shough.

Admittedly, Saints' running back Alvin Kamara is washed. However, Devin Neal has given New Orleans a little bit more juice in the running game the last few weeks.

I make the line for this game basically a coin flip.
