Betting an NFL Parlay with Anytime Touchdown scorers is incredibly fun, even if they’re mostly a losing proposition that will drain your bankroll if you’re not careful. Most sportsbooks tend to clean up on this bet type, so how do we scratch the parlay itch without overextending ourselves?
Allow me to introduce “The 180 Challenge” — here’s how it works in case you're not familiar with the concept:
Each week, I bet on a three-leg Anytime TD parlay that equates to somewhere around +1800 or more. $10 per parlay ticket, $180 total for the season.
The goal is to win as much as possible. But the safety net is that you only need to hit one parlay all season to make your money back.
If you go 0-18 (which is unfortunate), the positive spin is it's only $180. This way, we can still participate in fun touchdown parlays while managing our bankroll and not going overboard on bad spending habits.
Here’s my NFL Anytime Touchdown Parlay for Week 16.
NFL Parlay — Week 16 Anytime TD Picks
- George Pickens Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+180, FanDuel)
- Jameson Williams Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+155, FanDuel)
- Jaxson Dart Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+210, FanDuel)
Parlay Odds: +2113 via FanDuel
Chargers vs. Cowboys TD Pick: George Pickens
The Cowboys' wide receiver has eight touchdowns this year. He hasn’t scored in a few games, but this should be a decent matchup for him.
The Chargers play a lot of zone and two-high safety, and George Pickens leads the Cowboys with five TDs vs zone coverage.
Also, this game could be a potential shootout.
So give me Pickens to redeem himself against the Chargers.
Steelers vs. Lions TD Pick: Jameson Williams
The Lions wideout has seven touchdowns this season, with five of those coming in the last seven games since the Week 8 bye.
Jameson Williams is running the most routes on the Lions since the bye, with a huge jump in targets per route run.
He will now face the Steelers, who play a lot of man coverage and single-high safety, and this lines up for him, as he can explode at any time when playing indoors with QB Jared Goff.
Vikings vs. Giants TD Pick: Jaxson Dart
The Giants quarterback already has seven TDs in nine starts this year.
Jaxson Dart has been a running QB since he got into the NFL. With 17 red-zone carries, he ranks fourth amongst all quarterbacks.
On Sunday, he will face a Vikings team that is weaker against the run and third in pressure rate per dropback.
Well, that's convenient since Dart’s scramble rate jumps when under pressure.
So let’s take him to get another score in Week 16.
Disclaimer: 18-1 parlays have less than 5% chance of hitting, and that percentage only shrinks as you increase the parlay odds. Keep your expectations in check and bet on these for recreation.
