Betting an NFL Parlay with Anytime Touchdown scorers is incredibly fun, even if they’re mostly a losing proposition that will drain your bankroll if you’re not careful. Most sportsbooks tend to clean up on this bet type, so how do we scratch the parlay itch without overextending ourselves?
Allow me to introduce “The 180 Challenge” — here’s how it works in case you're not familiar with the concept:
Each week, I bet on a three-leg Anytime TD parlay that equates to somewhere around +1800 or more. $10 per parlay ticket, $180 total for the season.
The goal is to win as much as possible. But the safety net is that you only need to hit one parlay all season to make your money back.
If you go 0-18 (which is unfortunate), the positive spin is it's only $180. This way, we can still participate in fun touchdown parlays while managing our bankroll and not going overboard on bad spending habits.
Here’s my NFL Anytime Touchdown Parlay for Week 17.
NFL Parlay — Week 17 Anytime TD Picks
- Trey McBride Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+120, bet365)
- Jaylen Waddle Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+225, bet365)
- AJ Barner Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+200, bet365)
Parlay Odds: +2045 via bet365
Cardinals vs. Bengals TD Pick: Trey McBride
Trey McBride already has 10 touchdowns this year, and he has a pretty obvious, favorable matchup here.
He’s an elite tight end, and the Bengals can’t stop TEs. Cincinnati has allowed a league-high 15 TDs to the position.
Look for Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett to spam McBride with targets and help him get another touchdown.
Buccaneers vs. Dolphins TD Pick: Jaylen Waddle
Jaylen Waddle has scored seven TDs this season and leads the Dolphins in end-zone targets and deep targets.
With Quinn Ewers at QB, I think there’s still upside in Miami's passing game.
The Dolphins will be facing the Bucs, who’ve allowed 26 passing TDs and grade out much better vs the run.
Ewers targeted Waddle the most in his first start, so let’s bank on that continuing in Week 17.
Seahawks vs. Panthers TD Pick: AJ Barner
We're backing another tight end to close this out: AJ Barner, who has six touchdowns this year.
The Panthers play a lot of zone and Cover 3, and the Seahawks TE tends to see a target bump when facing those coverages.
Plus, Carolina ranks 25th in defensive DVOA vs tight ends.
When the Seahawks get to the goal line, look for them to target Barner or use him for a tush push.
Disclaimer: 18-1 parlays have less than 5% chance of hitting, and that percentage only shrinks as you increase the parlay odds. Keep your expectations in check and bet on these for recreation.
