Packers vs Bears TD Pick: Luther Burden III
By Sean Koerner
I'm just going to keep riding with my guy Luther Burden III.
The rookie benefited the most from Rome Odunze's injury. Head coach Ben Johnson was forced to play Burden more and the results have been fantastic. He really showed his stuff against the 49ers with eight receptions for 138 yards and a touchdown.
Of course, Odunze is back for the playoffs, but it's hard to imagine Burden reverting back to a 50% routes run rate; I think he's still going to be around the 65 % range, maybe even higher.
Burden's already a stud; he's averaging 2.7 yards per route run, which only trails Puka Nacua and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
Texans vs Steelers TD Pick: Nico Collins
With this being Wild Card Weekend, I'm going to be giving out a lot of touchdown picks for every game — but this one right here is my favorite.
The Texans have looked shaky at times on offense, but this is a dream matchup for Nico Collins, facing a Steelers team that's top five in man coverage rate and top five in single-high safety. Collins leads the Texans in targets per route run and yards per route run against those coverages.
The Steelers offense is maybe the most underwhelming in the playoff field; I'm not sure they're going to be able to move the ball that well, and I think that's going to give the Texans more possessions for chances to score.
There's some historical precedent as well. Collins has had some pretty good postseason games — he's seen at least seven targets in each of his playoff games and scored in two of them.
Texans vs Steelers TD Pick: Pat Freiermuth
By Chris Raybon
Houston is going to be focused on shutting down the returning DK Metcalf and the Steelers' don't have much depth behind him to make noise in red-zone situations.
In the Steelers' last game against the Ravens, we saw Pat Freiermuth get doubled up in the red zone — we're probably not going to see that again with Metcalf back in the fold.
Since Week 8, the Texans have allowed seven touchdowns to tight ends. I like the spot and the number so I'm going with Freiermuth.
