New York Giants Odds, Bet Types and Team History

Calling the 2025 season a disaster for the New York Giants undersells it.

The G-Men finished 4-13, and ownership cleaned house. John Harbaugh replaced Brian Daboll, agreeing to a five-year deal on January 17 after 18 seasons in Baltimore. Joe Schoen stays on as general manager, with Matt Nagy running the offense and Dennard Wilson running the defense.

Jaxson Dart owns the quarterback room now. He opened last season behind Russell Wilson, seized the job quickly, and finished with 2,272 yards, 15 touchdowns, and five interceptions across 14 games, plus 487 rushing yards and nine scores on the ground. Harbaugh plans to build around that dual-threat ability, echoing the system he ran with Lamar Jackson. 

Malik Nabers headlines the supporting cast. A torn ACL held him to four games last season, but the Giants kept him off the PUP list, and his first camp practices drew strong reviews.

The backfield stays crowded. New York lists Cam Skattebo as a co-starter alongside Tyrone Tracy Jr. on its first unofficial depth chart, with Skattebo still on a managed workload after dislocating his ankle in Week 8. Tracy led the group last season with 740 rushing yards.

The defensive line looks different, too. New York traded Dexter Lawrence to Cincinnati, leaving the pass rush to Brian Burns, who posted 16.5 sacks and second-team All-Pro honors in 2025, and to Abdul Carter. Carter's four sacks undersold his rookie year, since his 66 pressures and 84.5 PFF pass-rush grade point toward a Year 2 jump.

The Giants open at home against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football, Sept. 13 at 8:20 p.m. ET.

The minus (-) and plus (+) signs separate the favorite from the underdog, so New York carries the favorite tag here.

Think in $10 or $100 increments to read the numbers faster. A $120 wager on the Giants nets $100 in profit. Flip that for the underdog: the Commanders sit at +100, so a $100 wager profits $100.

That +100 mark carries a nickname on the betting menu. Sportsbooks call it even money, and every other price on the board scales up or down from there.

Giants Point Spread

Point spread bets hinge on the margin of victory, not just the result. The sportsbook sets a number, and your team needs to clear it.

Philadelphia carries the plus sign here, making the Eagles 2.5-point underdogs against New York.

Back the Giants and you need them to win by three or more. A $100 wager at -110 profits $90.91, returning $190.91 total.

Back the Eagles and you get two paths to cash. Philadelphia wins outright, or Philadelphia loses by two or fewer. Either result pays $110 in profit on a $100 wager, for a $210 return.

The half-point in the spread removes the possibility of a push. Whole numbers leave room for a tie against the number, but a 2.5 always produces a winner and a loser.

Giants Over/Under

Over/under bets, also called point totals, focus on the combined score of both teams. The sportsbook posts a number, and you pick a side: over or under.

Here's how it works.

Say the Cowboys visit the Giants and the sportsbook sets the total at 49 points. Bet the over and you need Dallas and New York to combine for 50 or more. Bet the under and you need the two teams to finish at 48 or fewer.

The result also pushes if the game lands on exactly 49 combined points. A push refunds your stake, so nobody wins and nobody loses.

Note that this bet ignores the winner entirely. A 45-3 blowout and a 24-24 shootout both land on 48 points, and the under cashes either way.

A bettor takes the over or the under on whether Skattebo clears 899.5 rushing yards across the regular season.

The half-yard does the same work here that it does on a spread. No total lands on 899.5, so the bet always resolves.

Season-long props like this one reward homework on the depth chart. The Giants list Skattebo as a co-starter alongside Tyrone Tracy on their first unofficial depth chart, and the coaching staff has managed his workload through camp as he returns from a dislocated ankle. A backfield split moves a number like this far more than talent does.
