- Sharps have been betting today's Rams vs. Cardinals matchup throughout the week.
- This morning, however, they've made another move and caused oddsmakers to move the spread off a key number.
Of all the games on Sunday's NFL slate, Rams-Cardinals has presented perhaps the most confusion among bettors. Los Angeles holds an edge in both bets and money, but it's about as small of a margin as possible.
Fifty-two percent of bets accounting for 51% of actual dollars have landed on the Rams, which sets sportsbooks up in a nice spot for guaranteed profit. It hasn't, however, kept sportsbooks from moving their numbers, as one of those sides has been attracting a much stronger sharp backing.

There's been no question as to which side has attracted more sharp action throughout the week, but the biggest wave of pro money seems to have waited until game day to hit this spread.
Five Sports Insights Bet Signals, which track and record instances of sharp action causing market-wide movement, hit the Cardinals prior to Sunday, most of which came at a 3-point spread with a better-than-standard payout.
But even that wasn't enough to move this spread off the key number, as entering Sunday this number still sat at Rams -3.
Seeing no opportunity to get a better price, sharps decided that a full field goal was still enough to have confidence in Arizona, as they triggered another two moves at +3 with payouts of -118 and -120 on Sunday morning and early afternoon.
As a result, sportsbooks across the market have moved inside the key number, listing the Rams as just 2.5-point favorites.
Given the importance of the number 3 in football betting, it wouldn't come as a surprise if some buyback appears on LA at the new number, but for now, oddsmakers are willing to take action on the 2.5-point spread.
