Saints vs Falcons Preview

We'll start our Week 4 Monday Night Football SGP between the Falcons and Saints with Over 47.5.

This sets up a high-scoring game environment indoors. So far this season, Saints games have combined for 62, 41, and 61 points. New Orleans is 27th in EPA per play on defense, so it could give the Falcons a chance to put up points.

We saw Atlanta look a lot better on offense with Michael Penix Jr. at the helm on Thursday Night Football against Green Bay. The Falcons ended up blowing out the Packers 35-14 in a game where Penix was able to get the ball to top wideout Drake London, who exploded for 194 yards.

Falcons-Saints sets up to be a close game that comes down to the wire, as highlighted by the 1.5-point spread, which could keep both teams on the gas late in the game. That's good news for the Over.

I'll add Kyle Pitts Over 28.5 receiving yards.

The Falcons' tight end has been a complete non-factor so far this season, combining for two catches for 20 yards in three games. But we all saw what he can do down the stretch last season, so it's only a matter of time before he gets going.

Falcons coaches spoke publicly about needing to get Pitts more involved. In a potential shootout against a team that just gave up 116 yards to Brock Bowers and 32 yards to Michael Mayer, this could be the spot where Pitts gets going.

I'll finish it off with Alvin Kamara Over 11.5 rush attempts.

With Travis Etienne on injured reserve, expect the Falcons to defer to the veteran here. Yes, it will still be a committee with Kendre Miller, but Kamara should lead the way.

We saw Kamara rack up nine carries in the Saints' loss to the Raiders last week. Facing a Falcons team that is first in Rush EPA, where big plays should be limited, could lead to more rush attempts.

Saints vs Falcons Same-Game Parlay

  • Over 47.5 (-115, DraftKings)
  • Kyle Pitts Over 28.5 Receiving Yards (-113, DraftKings)
  • Alvin Kamara Over 11.5 Rush Attempts  (-103, DraftKings)

Parlay Odds: +525
