Wings vs. Sky Preview

The Wings are .500 so far in 2026, and the books are giving them a slight edge against a revamped Sky team that's excelled on the defensive side of the ball through four games. Chicago's ability to generate stops could make things tough for Dallas's top offensive weapons.

Paige Bueckers is showcasing ridiculous efficiency from the field. She's shooting 57.4% from the field and 62.5% from long range. The same can't be said about her backcourt partner Arike Ogunbowale, though.

Ogunbowale notched career low percentages from the field (36.4%) and beyond the arc (30.4%) last season and is still trying to find her way as a second option.

The often ball-dominant guard thrives on self-creation, but is still on pace to shoot a career-low 30.0% from 3-point range in 2026.Chicago is the last team you want to face when efficiency has been a weakness.

The Sky boast the WNBA's second-best scoring defense and are allowing just 79.0 points per game. They're also holding opponents to a league-low 38.1% from the field. Only four teams have held opponents to a lower 3-point shooting percentage (29.6%) than Chicago this season. The Sky's mix of perimeter versatility and length has a lot to do with that.

Skylar Diggins, Natasha Cloud, and Jacy Sheldon bring a ton of on-ball pressure to opposing guards. Their physicality, persistence, and ability to funnel players toward Kamila Cardoso have helped Chicago post the WNBA's best defensive rating (98.4).

Ogunbowale appears set to have a difficult time after averaging 11.0 points on 27.2% shooting over her previous two outings.

Wings vs. Sky Prediction

Ogunbowale got off to a strong start with 22 and 20 points in her first two games of the 2026 season, but her sample size is small, and she benefited from getting to face the Indiana Fever's poor defensive backcourt.

The Notre Dame product has also only played in one road game this season.

Bettors shouldn't be surprised if Ogunbowale has a tough time against an elite defense in just her second road trip of the season. Chicago has the personnel and depth to challenge her amid a cold streak.

Best Bet: Arike Ogunbowale Under 16.5 Points (-110)
