Lynx vs. Aces Preview
The two best teams in the Western Conference are set to face off.
The Lynx sit atop the standings with a fresh, young face running the show in rookie point guard Olivia Miles. The TCU product flourished as soon as she stepped foot on a professional court and has arguably made last season's top offense even better.
Minnesota ranks second in points per game (91.1) after leading the WNBA with 86.1 PPG last season. Miles' scoring and playmaking have been a huge part of that growth.
She leads the team in points (17.8) and assists (6.3) per game while maintaining strong efficiency from the field, free-throw line and long distance. Her skills as a floor general will be put to the test against the reigning champs, though. No offense has been more formidable than the Aces' in 2026.
Las Vegas' league-high 91.4 points per game is powered by reigning MVP and Defensive Player of the Year A'ja Wilson. She hasn't slowed down in her ninth season with the team.
Wilson is averaging 26.4 points, 9.3 rebounds and a career-high 3.3 assists per game so far this season. Her dominance hasn't wavered, and Las Vegas might be even more dangerous than last year, with runaway Sixth Player of the Year favorite Chennedy Carter in the fold. Charter is averaging 15.6 points per game after a two-year WNBA hiatus.
Buckets might not be easy to come by against the league's best scoring defense, though.
Opposing teams are scoring a league-low 78.2 points per game against Minnesota while shooting an abysmal 37.9% from the field in 2026. However, the Lynx haven't faced the league's most unstoppable offensive force, Wilson, yet this season.
Whether Minnesota is ready for arguably its biggest challenge yet remains to be seen.

Lynx vs. Aces Prediction
Las Vegas is exceptional on offense with a middle-of-the-road defense.
Miles recently surpassed Courtney Williams as her team's leading scorer and appears poised to keep up her high level of play.
She's posted 21.4 points per game over her previous five outings, while shooting 61.0% from the field and 52.4% from three. She also shot 92.3% from the charity stripe on 5.3 attempts per contest during that stretch.
Miles doesn't need a ton of shots to be effective, and the first two games of her current five-game hot streak came on the road. There's a strong chance her momentum will carry into Saturday.
Best Bet: Olivia Miles Over 16.5 Points (-116, DraftKings)
