Sky vs. Dream Preview

The Chicago Sky are searching for answers after getting drubbed in each of their past two games. The Sky lost by 19 and 27 points and have dropped to just 2-6 on the season.

Making matters worse, Courtney Vandersloot is out for the season with a torn ACL and they have to now face an Atlanta team that has won five of its past six.

The Dream are also 3-1 at home this season and looking to put another game in the win column before hitting the road for back-to-back contests.

Sky vs. Dream Prediction

I'm backing Chicago's team total under.

You should be able to get it around 76.5. It's starting to get into that range and I'd take it to 70.5, but this is going to be a play for me anytime they give me the Sky in the 70s against a decent defense.

Atlanta is a top-five defense and maybe more importantly, the Dream have the highest defensive rebounding rate this season, which is obviously pretty important in a game against Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso. If you could draw up a front court to slow them down, Brittney Griner and Brionna Jones are kind of the perfect combination.

I'm also debating a rebound prop for Griner. That's not an official best bet, but that number has come down a little bit because of her minutes in recent games. But ironically, she's been rebounding the ball well when she's been in there this season and without Courtney Vandersloot, Chicago looks pretty lost.

The Sky scored 66 last game against the Liberty and that didn't look like a super sustainable 66.

In the game prior, they scored just 52 against the Fever. They're getting a run of really tough defenses, so maybe when they play a team a Dallas or a Vegas, we can zag if the market overcorrects.

There's no blind bet, we play the numbers the market gives us, but for now, it's 76.5 and I'm taking the under.

Best Bet: Chicago Sky Under 76.5 Points
