This is an interesting matchup with neither team entering in particularly strong form. The Astros are 77-84 overall and 38-37 on the road, but they've gone just 3-7 over their last ten games.
Houston will turn to Cristian Javier, who has been pitching well this month. He's gone 1-1 with a 2.20 ERA across three starts in September, giving the Astros a reliable arm to lean on despite their recent struggles.
Seattle, meanwhile, is 73-83 overall and just 33-48 at home. The Mariners have been more competitive lately, going 5-5 over their last ten, but their home record makes it difficult to fully trust them as a favorite.
Logan Gilbert could be the biggest factor for Seattle. He dominated the Astros in their previous meeting on April 12, striking out seven while allowing just one run over seven innings.
