Rangers vs Mariners MLB Betting Preview
This bet is based on four things:
- Jacob deGrom
- Logan Gilbert
- T-Mobile Stadium
- Terrible hitting weather

Rangers vs Mariners Pick, Betting Analysis
deGrom looks good. In his last start against the Dodgers, he allowed a first-pitch home run to Shohei Ohtani before tossing six shutout innings with nine strikeouts.
The fastball will never get back to the 99 MPH average it once was, but he doesn’t want to throw it that hard to avoid injury. But his four-seam is still sitting around 97 MPH, and his slider is still one of the league’s best. Plus, he’s throwing more changeups, which drastically helps his batted-ball profile.
Meanwhile, Logan Gilbert looks just as good. Houston is as hot as any team in the league, yet Seattle’s Ace tossed seven one-run innings against the Astros with seven strikeouts.
The fastball is elite. He throws it 95 MPH at the top of the zone with crazy extension, forcing a 37% CSW rate.
T-Mobile Stadium is the worst run-scoring environment in the Majors, and the weather will do no favors to those in the batter’s box on Friday, with temperatures in the low-50s and winds blowing in from left field. BallParkPal projects a -20% run-scoring factor behind a -17% home run factor and a -26% extra-base hit factor.
These two teams faced off in the same starting pitching matchup 11 days ago, finishing with a 2-1 score. I’m banking on more of the same.
Pick: Under 6.5 (-115 or Better)
