On Tuesday, we travel to a hitter's paradise in Coors Field to find value in an NRFI between two National League teams.

German Marquez is a phenomenal NRFI pitcher despite the fact his home field resides in Denver. Since 2021, he's 31-5 to the NRFI and 20-1 to the NRFI at home, including his 4-0 NRFI record in 2022.

Marquez's first-inning splits out the gate are near perfect. In 16 potential batters faced, he has allowed only three hits and one walk.

On top of his outstanding NRFI splits, he has had success against the Nationals hitters:

  • Cesar Hernandez: 1-for-11
  • Josh Bell: 1-for-18
  • Nelson Cruz: 0-for-3

On the other side of this NRFI, we have Erick Fedde, who has performed extremely well in the first inning in 2022. With a 4-0 NRFI record and 14 potential hitters faced, Fedde has allowed only one hit and two walks thus far.

Fedde's success has continued over from his 25-6 NRFI record since 2021. In this same span, he’s 13-2 to the NRFI when on the road. He also holds a 1-0 NRFI record against the Rockies since 2019.

Lastly, when facing hitters the first time through the lineup. Fedde has allowed just six hits to 30 batters. Rockies No. 1 and No. 2 hitters, Connor Joe and Charlie Blackmon, are both hitting for a .200 batting average in the last seven days.

The Rockies will also be without All-Star third baseman Kris Bryant as well.

Getting a plus money NRFI here is tremendous value. Look for both Marquez and Fedde to have dominant first innings, moving their NRFI record to 5-0 in 2022.

As always, six outs to glory…
