Game 1 was almost a perfect game for him and had a lot of outlier that broke his way to get to 12 PRA. He directly correlates with Aaron Neshmith avg 6.7 mpg sharing court (lowest amongst starters), but Sheppard saw an extra 5 minutes of Q2 run because Neshmith picked up his fourth foul w/ 6:55 left. But with foul trouble now in control going into the 2nd half, Sheppard only saw 5 minutes and was essentially the bottom of the bench unit in upside. He converted on 100% of his assists and rebound chances and also hit 2+ 3PM (which to not happen is -280). Box score will show he played 18 minutes, but going forward I only see him playing a max of 14-15. Sheppard averages 4.2 PRA in the nine games this season playing with the current starting lineup healthy (w/o Mathurin) and only draining 1 3PM. 🎙️ Discussed on @CashThatPodcast Myles Turner has continued to look great in these matchups against the Knicks. The Knicks have been susceptible to the combination of size and shooting ability that he brings to the table. The Knicks seem comfortable just living with the results of Turner finding some success as long as they can stay home on both Haliburton and Siakam. Turner has been a bit streaky against the Knicks but in four games this season he has been solid with 28, 5, 23 and 23 points in those matchups. The one game he had 5 points he played just 24 minutes. In Game 1, the Knicks allowed Turner to slip by them on rolls and occasionally would get lost by the defense on the perimeter if Haliburton was able to drag multiple defenders into the action. The advantage with Turner is that he was able to punish the Knicks when they were in a drop but also as a roller when they played closer to the level. Turner’s ability to punish defensive lapses in a variety of different ways should help him in this contest and I expect him to exceed 17.5 points once again.
