Who Will Be No. 1 Overall Pick? Most Traded Kalshi Live Odds
Most Kalshi traders are in on AJ Dybantsa (~78%) to be the No. 1 overall pick of the 2026 NBA Draft. Darryn Peterson (~19%) is pretty far behind odds wise, but still in a tier of his own compared to Cameron Boozer and a handful of other players trading in single-digit percentages.
The "Pro Basketball #1 Overall Pick" market first opened on July 23rd, 2025, racking up ~$1.1 million in trading volume during that time. For most of that period, Dybantsa and Peterson were neck and neck odds wise, with Peterson actually favored for much of that until this year's March Madness.
As such, Dybantsa might be the overwhelming favorite, but Peterson isn't fully out of it. Read on to learn more about this market.
Which Player Will Be The No. 1 Overall Pick? Prediction Market Analysis

AJ Dybantsa is leading the 2026 NBA Draft class for good reason. As a small forward who stands 6-foot-9 with a 7-foot-1 wingspan, his physical attributes are very appealing for a team seeking an NBA-ready wing. Dybantsa blew scouts out of the water in his freshman season at BYU, averaging 25.5 points per game among other impressive feats such as beating Kevin Durant's Big 12 Tournament scoring record.
He'd also fit very well on the Wizards' current roster, benefitting from the elite playmaking of Trae Young while also possessing the ability to create his own shot. What's more, Dybantsa's abilities as a mobile defensive big would perfectly compliment Anthony Davis and Alex Sarr, transforming a previously-lackluster defense into what could be one of the best in the league.
While the consensus may be high on Washington selecting Dybantsa, there's good reason to consider Peterson as well. Peterson has a more physical frame that's better equipped to absorb contact, and having a shooting guard who can finish through NBA-caliber defenders is very attractive.
Some would also argue Peterson is a more polished half-court scorer. His ability to hit contested jump shots and threes is hard to ignore, not to mention shooting free throws at a 83.2% clip this past season. Overall, Peterson's ability and wingspan would be key to guarding the opposing team's best perimeter player on any given night, freeing up Young from tough matchups.
The Kalshi odds falloff from Dybantsa to Peterson likely shouldn't be so steep, with other reasons like Peterson's recent struggles with cramps and other injuries perhaps creating doubt amongst traders. From a value standpoint, we'd recommend buying Peterson "Yes" contracts for ~19 cents over Dybantsa "Yes" contracts for ~78 cents, even though both are feasible outcomes.
