  • As we will do each week on the podcast, the four of us each come up with our favorite moneyline parlay piece for Saturday's card.
  • The only restrictions are it must either be an underdog or single digit favorite.
  • This week, we have an underdog and three favorites that pay just under 8-1 in a four team moneyline parlay.

For those of you that listened to The Action Network Colleges podcast this week — you already know that the four of us will be putting together a four team college basketball moneyline parlay each Saturday. We won't be including any enormous favorites — only single digit favorites and underdogs.

Let's kick things off with a couple of Big 12 revenge spots in the afternoon and then finish up with two SEC primetime games. The four team moneyline parlay pays +775.

Eli: Texas Tech -330

  • Spread: Texas Tech -7 vs. Baylor
  • Over/Under: 129.5
  • Location: Lubbock, Texas
  • Time: 2 p.m. ET
  • TV: ESPN

This matchup sets up as a revenge game for the Red Raiders following an 11-point loss in Waco on Jan. 19.

The Bears have yielded the Big 12’s third- and fourth-highest scoring rate from the free-throw and inside the arc, respectively.

Not only does Texas Tech thrive from those areas on offense, but it’s also holding its conference foes to the league’s lowest 3-point clip (30.1%), where Baylor has made its money in Big 12 play.

The Red Raiders keep it rolling at home today.

Wilson: Iowa State +135

  • Spread: Kansas State -2.5 vs. Iowa State
  • Over/Under:  130.5
  • Location: Manhattan, Kansas
  • Time: 4 p.m. ET
  • TV: ESPN2

I'm rolling with another revenge spot and taking the Cyclones to win outright at Kansas State.

There will be no shortage of motivation for Iowa State, which has to be seething after a home loss to TCU last weekend. It's also looking to avenge a one-point defeat in Ames earlier this season (Kansas State finished on a 10-2 run to steal it) in addition to two losses last year.

From a matchup point of view, Kansas State's offense has thrived from the perimeter in conference play, but that's where Iowa State excels on the defensive end.

After a full week off to prepare. I think Iowa State gets its revenge on the road where it has played well this year with wins at Ole Miss and at Texas Tech.

Stuckey: Kentucky -180

  • Spread: Kentucky -3.5 vs. Tennessee
  • Over/Under: 145
  • Location: Lexington, Kentucky
  • Time: 8 p.m. ET
  • TV: ESPN

As I mentioned in our betting preview, I don't see much value in the current line — but I do think Kentucky pulls out the win tonight at Rupp.

As you might expect, not much separates these two elite teams — both of which are true final four contenders.

Tennessee can bully a lot of teams in the nation with its size, but UK has the bodies to match up. In fact, both teams have an average roster height of exactly 78 inches (top 40 in nation).

I have Tennessee rated just a tad higher, but UK is a deserving favorite after accounting for home-court advantage and the spot, which heavily favors Kentucky.

I think Kentucky can win this game on the offensive glass, where it thrives. The Cats rank third in the nation in offensive rebounding percentage and despite its size, the Vols will let you get second chance opportunities.

The spot also heavily favors Kentucky coming off a home loss to LSU. Also, the Kentucky defense has been trending up and is posting gaudy numbers, while the Vols have been going the opposite direction — I think mainly as a result of a lack of focus due to a ridiculously easy scheduling stretch.

I mean, since the impressive win over Gonzaga way back on Dec. 9, Tennessee hasn’t faced a single ranked team. You could even argue that the last 16 Vols opponents will not make the tournament (Alabama the most likely and Florida has an outside shot, but those are the hardest teams it has played in conference).

This is a huge step up in class for a Vols team that has been in cruise control against inferior opponents for the past few months. Here are their road wins this year:

  • Memphis
  • Missouri
  • Vanderbilt (in OT)
  • South Carolina
  • Texas A&M

Yup, that’s it. I love this UT team, especially since I have a preseason 35-1 future on them, but the Cats take this tonight.

Randle: Mississippi State -120

  • Spread: Mississippi State -1.5 at Arkansas
  • Over/Under: 150.5
  • Location: Fayetteville, Arkansas
  • Time: 8:30 p.m. ET
  • TV: SECN

In my eyes, Mississippi State is the most undervalued team in the SEC. With the exception of its game at Kentucky, six of Mississippi State's seven losses have come by a margin of five points or less (including an 0-2 overtime record in conference). With just a few breaks, this team could easily be sitting in the top four of the SEC. standings.

For today's game, I like a few different matchups for Ben Howland's crew:

  • Perimeter shooting: Mississippi State is a very dangerous 3-point shooting team and Arkansas' perimeter defense has struggled immensely in SEC play. Over their last two games, Missouri and South Carolina have combined to shoot 19-41 (46.3%) from behind the arc.
  • Free throws: If the game is close, as the line suggests, Mississippi State will have a significant edge at the free throw line. Arkansas is shooting 66% from the line this season (310th), while the Bulldogs rank in the top 100 at 72.8%.
  • Offensive rebounding: Miss State does work on the offensive glass with a national rank of 20th in offensive rebounding percentage. That will play against an Arkansas team that ranks 340th in the country on the defensive glass. And on the other end, Mississippi State should gobble up Arkansas misses; the Hogs rank 13th in the conference in offensive rebounding percentage.

Mississippi State does have turnover issues at times, which worries me a little against Arkansas — but I think Quindarry Weatherspoon has another big game vs. Arkansas and the Bulldogs win their fourth straight in the series.

Moneyline Parlay Summary

  • Texas Tech
  • Kentucky
  • Iowa State
  • Mississippi State

Pays: +775
