FL Atlantic vs. Army Odds & Betting Predictions - October 17, 2026

Extra week to prepare for the triple. Second time facing a variation of the triple this season. They really wrangled Navy’s attack for 3 quarters, before Navy hit two fourth quarter TDs on them.  Army feels a decade removed from the Bryson Daily days. The QB isn’t as dynamic, while still good, Hellums just isn’t superman. And they really miss Noah Short. They don’t have the athletes out wide to kill team when they go Cover 0 or Cover 1.  Army’s pass defense numbers is strong on paper 55th in yardage per game allowed, but two things make me think a drop off it coming. In pure coverage, per PFF, 122nd. And they haven’t faced a dynamic passing attack yet.  FAU is one of 15 teams averaging over 300 yards per game through the air. Messer and Valsin are dominating and offer different challenges out wide and in the slot.  Keep an eye on the wind, 15 MPH off the Hudson, but I’d like to point out that the renovations which built up the side of the stadium next to the water, has lessened the winds impact a bit.
