Arkansas Razorbacks Betting Preview: Hogs Primed for Points

It's safe to say that this season has been rough for the Razorbacks. After winning their first two games of the season, they have lost eight straight.

That losing streak includes dropping all six games to SEC competition, and they have another one on tap this week.

While their losing streak is unsightly, there's good and bad to this Arkansas team. The bad is the defense. The Hogs rank 124th in scoring defense and 126th in total defense.

They have offered little resistance defensively, but the good thing is they've shown they will punch back offensively. Quarterback Taylen Green is a playmaker, stretching the field with his arm and exposing defenses with his legs.

He and running back Mike Washington Jr. have combined to make Arkansas the fourth-best rushing attack in the country in terms of yards per carry.

We've seen the Longhorns' secondary get exposed, as they rank 100th in opponent completion percentage, so look for the pass to set up to run here as the Hogs look to hang tight.

Texas Longhorns Betting Preview: Horns Motivated to Bounce Back

If there was ever a team that desperately needed a bounce-back effort, it's the Texas Longhorns.

After a bad loss to No. 5 Georgia, the Longhorns are now five spots out of the College Football Playoff and need to win to keep those long-shot hopes alive.

Fortunately for them, their offense has a tremendous opportunity. Arkansas' defense has been shredded this season, and this game should prove no different, as we've seen Arch Manning thrive against inferior competition.

We should see the Longhorns fire on all cylinders offensively as they look to make a statement heading into the last week of the season with their title aspirations hanging in the balance.

Arkansas vs Texas Pick, Betting Analysis

The Razorbacks are an over team in every way, and their 7-3 record to the over shows it.

Their defense gives up over half of this total on average and has allowed fewer than 30 points to only one SEC opponent this season.

The Longhorns are more than talented enough offensively to capitalize on their matchup, but we can't count out Green and the Arkansas offense. This game should be another high-scoring affair.

Pick: Over 57.5 (Play to 58.5)
