Buffalo travels to Indiana to take on Ball State on Tuesday for the last week of MACtion in 2021.

Ball State has a chance to become bowl eligible for a second straight season with a dub here. They won the conference championship last season with a 6-1 record — their first chip since 1996 — and the Cardinals did so against this very Buffalo team.

Ball State went on to win the Arizona Bowl over San Jose State 34-13.

The Cardinals got off to a shaky start this season after having issues keeping the ball. They went 1-3 over their first four games and had a -5 turnover margin.

Since then, they've been +10 in turnovers and have only thrown two picks and lost one fumble. They're 4-3 since, with solid wins at Western Michigan, at Eastern Michigan and at Akron.

Meanwhile, Buffalo is coming off of a three-game losing streak in which they've been outscored by an average of 15 points per game.

They'll be missing their first bowl game since the 2017 season.

Besides a few individual records, the Bulls won't have much to play for on Tuesday. Running back Kevin Marks Jr. needs just one more rushing touchdown to tie James Starks for second on the university's all-time list.

Marks Jr. also needs just 73 more rushing yards to pass Anthony Swan for fourth in program history.

Ball State has everything to play for while Buffalo will be limping along, but sharps are still targeting one side of this matchup with conviction.

Let's see what The Action Network's model says about this game.
