  • After opening at -6, Central Florida is now listed as 2.5-point favorites against Memphis in the AAC Championship (3:30 p.m. ET, ABC).
  • The late line move opens an opportunity for UCF bettors to get the Knights inside the key number of -3.

The line for the AAC Championship Game is on the move.

The Memphis Tigers opened as 6-point road dogs, and although that line had already taken into account the injury to UCF Knights quarterback McKenzie Milton, bettors still believed that Memphis wasn't getting enough credit.

In fact, sharps immediately hit the Tigers at +6, and while that's been the only confirmed case of sharp action — at least through Sports Insights' Bet Signals — this line has continued to drop throughout the week.

By mid-week, it seemed that the line had settled around UCF -3.5, with a few books going as low as -3. But the line was on the move again at noon ET on Saturday.

In the final hours before kickoff, the consensus market line dropped inside the key number of 3 for the first time all week.

As the saying goes: Sharps bet numbers, not teams. That means it's certainly possible for sharp action to hit both sides of a game at different point spreads. In this case, the spread has fallen through a few key numbers — 6, 4 and 3 — meaning if there's any sharp action to come on UCF, now would be the time.

So with less than three hours to go until kickoff, the next move, if there is one, should tell us whether sharp bettors think the Knights stand a chance in this game.
