Welcome to our weekly Havoc Rankings, where the volatility of offenses and defenses is graded for potential wagering.
This should be a massive weekend of football from a Havoc perspective, as Indiana brings the top-ranked Havoc defense to Eugene against Oregon's top-ranked offense in terms of Havoc allowed.
Havoc is the collection of stats that can derail offensive momentum on the defensive side of the ball, including tackles for loss, pass breakups, forced fumbles, interceptions and sacks.
Havoc allowed, meanwhile, is a stat used to quantify an offense's ability to avoid chaos that creates a negative play. Offenses that are elite in Havoc allowed have a low number of fumbles, interceptions and tackles for loss.
Let's take a look at our college football picks for South Carolina vs. LSU and Week 7 Havoc Rankings for the upcoming week.

Defensive Havoc: LSU 28th · South Carolina 66th
Havoc Allowed: LSU 76th · South Carolina 117th
An SEC showdown for Week 7 comes from Baton Rouge, with LSU and South Carolina each coming in off a bye week.
The Tigers will have the Havoc advantage, ranking 28th nationally with a heavy portion coming from passes defensed.
LSU owns a coverage grade of 16th in FBS, per PFF. Defensive coordinator Blake Baker calls a number of different looks for the Tigers' secondary, including man, Cover 1 and Cover 3.
There have been a number of issues for the South Carolina offense, which ranks 117th in Havoc allowed. The Gamecocks lost two straight in SEC play before Kentucky gifted them four turnovers in Week 5.
Quarterback LaNorris Sellers hasn't been protected, scrambling through 49 pressures in 114 dropbacks this season. The status of right tackle Cason Henry is also undetermined for Week 7.

Meanwhile, there could be a reprieve for LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier against the Gamecocks' secondary.
The fifth-year senior has nearly double the number of big-time throws than touchdowns, so regression could come against South Carolina's Cover 3. Nussmeier has been fantastic against Cover 3, posting a 57% Success Rate with an explosive on one of every five attempts.
Action Network's Betting Power Ratings project LSU to be favored by 11.5, giving value to any number at 10 or less.
Pick: LSU -10 or Better
