College Football Picks: New Year's Day

Outback Bowl: Minnesota vs. Auburn

1 p.m. ET | ESPN

The ticket counts prove that casual bettors are all in on the Citrus Bowl, but its the Outback Bowl, also at 1 p.m. ET, that's becoming the target of sharps.

The Minnesota vs. Auburn total opened at 51.5 and has climbed to 54. Why? Because of professional betting action.

According to Sports Insights' Bet Signals, sharps have steamed this over three times, marking three unique instances of money from respected bettors flooding the market and forcing oddsmakers to react by adjusting the line.

Sharp angle: Over (moved from 51.5 to 54)

Sugar Bowl: Baylor vs. Georgia

8:45 p.m. ET | ESPN

Wiseguys are targeting the total in the Sugar Bowl as well, but looking toward the under in this game.

In what is already expected to be a lower-scoring game evidenced by the opener of 42.5, sharps still thought that was too high.

Smart money has hit the Baylor vs. Georgia under four times, driving this number down to 41 at the time of writing.

Sharp angle: Under (moved 42.5 to 41)
