Rookie quarterbacks in their first road start don't usually fix that.
Dallas is the opposite team. Dak Prescott has 1,065 yards, eight touchdowns and a 105.0 passer rating. CeeDee Lamb leads the league with 37 catches for 498 yards. Javonte Williams has six rushing touchdowns, half of them in Sunday's 34-30 win over Houston. The Cowboys are scoring 30.5 a game, and they're good on third down and in the red zone, which is how you turn a lead into a real margin.
Here's the catch. The Dallas defense is a mess. It's 29th in points allowed, last in yards per play, and has four sacks and zero interceptions in four games.
