  • After remaining mostly quiet for much of the week, there was significant sharp action on the Chiefs-Seahawks spread on Sunday afternoon that caused a multi-point line move across the market.
  • Using The Action Network's betting tools, we've identified how sharp bettors bet on the spread.

The Chiefs had a big weight taken off their shoulders on Saturday night when the Chargers lost to the Ravens, allowing Kansas City to lose one of its two remaining games and still end up with the AFC West title and No. 1 seed.

Obviously, with a home date against Oakland in Week 17, the much tougher of their two remaining games is Sunday night in Seattle.

The Chiefs opened as 2.5-point favorites and remained there for most of the week, but sharp bettors paid a visit to their book on Sunday afternoon to shake up the spread a bit.

Shortly before 1 p.m. ET, steam hit the Seahawks at +2. It was a significant market move, too, as they moved from 2-point dogs to 1-point favorites in fewer than 10 minutes.

There was a little buyback on the Chiefs at some spots, but they are no longer favorites anywhere around the market, with books split between a pick 'em and Seahawks -1.

In terms of betting percentages, the public is split 50/50 on the spread as of writing (see live data here), with the slight majority of the money in the Seahawks' favor.

With nearly 20,000 bets tracked, it's heaviest bet game on Sunday and could very well end up being the most heavily bet game of the week, as I doubt there will be a ton of casual bettors watching Broncos-Raiders on Christmas Eve.
