Chiefs vs Broncos Preview, Parlay Picks

For the first time since 2014, the Chiefs are not headed to the NFL playoffs.

Andy Reid’s team has struggled all season, but the season really came to an end two weeks ago when Patrick Mahomes suffered a season-ending injury. Backup signal-caller Gardner Minshew also suffered a season-ending injury in his first start, so third-string quarterback Chris Oladokun will lead the offense tonight on primetime.

Denver, meanwhile, has enjoyed a great season. The Broncos are tied with the Patriots for first place in the AFC entering tonight's game.

Former Oregon Duck Bo Nix leads the Broncos offense with 3,608 passing yards, 24 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.

Kansas City will struggle to generate points in this game.

As mentioned, The Chiefs are on their third-string quarterback in Chris Oladokun and now has to face one of the best defenses in football.

While the Broncos are heavy favorites at -13.5 on the spread, they could play at a pace that favors the under.

As Stuckey noted in his preview, the Broncos rarely blow out opponents despite their impressive record. They were 7.5-point favorites against the Jets on a neutral field earlier in the season and only won that game by two points (13-11).

The script will bode well for this prop.

Bo Nix has blown past this number in his last two outings against the Packers and Jaguars (302 and 352 passing yards, respectively), but one game was a shootout and the other had the Broncos in a trailing game script.

As heavy favorites tonight, the Broncos could lean on their running game in the second half. Nix has gone under 231.5 passing yards in 7-of-15 games this season.

Our Action Pro Report projects Nix for 225 passing yards.
