Jaguars vs Titans NFL Week 13 Preview

The Jaguars have been on an extensive road stretch, with one of those games being across the country. They were also in Berlin for the Rams game; then they went to Vegas, then Houston, came home for the Chargers, and then traveled to Arizona before ultimately hitting the road again for this divisional game.

If you look at those games, the Jaguars got blown out by the Rams overseas. They came back and they won by one point in overtime against the Raiders on the road. They gave up 26 fourth quarter points and lost to Davis Mills and the Texans on the road.

Then, they came home again, and won 35-6 over the Chargers, and then went to Arizona and stole a three-point win.

There are also some other road games on the Jaguars' resume this season that are a bit dubious — a 26-21 win over the Niners where they were outgained by over 50 yards and got a return touchdown, and their game against the Bengals back in Week 2 where Joe Burrow got hurt.

Jake Browning relieved Burrow for Cincy in that game, and he threw three picks, and the Jaguars still managed to lose on the road.

Jaguars vs Titans Prediction, Betting Analysis

Favorites on the road tend to kill it during Thanksgiving week, but I don't care.

This Jaguars team has not looked like themselves when they leave Jacksonville, and this is the fourth straight home game now for Tennessee.

The Jaguars have not won by seven or more on the road all season.

Trevor Lawrence just hasn't been the same on the road. He did everything he could to give the game away last week, when he threw three more picks.

No matter who's out there for them, it just seems like something's not right.

This Titans team is also becoming a little bit pesky.

They switched things up on offense a few weeks ago by having Cam Ward scramble more, which I like — the rookie rushed for a career-high 37 yards in the loss to the Seahawks. Titans interim head coach Mike McCoy called this development "the next part of his growth."

The Jaguars play a lot of zone, so Ward might not need to scramble as much in this game, but they have given up three rushing touchdowns. Tennessee is also getting the tight ends more involved.

It's ugly, but given the spot with the poor recent road showings for the Jags, I'm going with the Titans here.

Pick: Titans +6.5 (-110)
