Week 4 of the 2025 NFL season concludes with a Monday Night Football doubleheader beginning with a matchup between the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets on September 29. Kickoff is set for 7:15 p.m. ET. The game will broadcast on ESPN.
The Jets travel to Hard Rock Stadium to face the Dolphins, and there are a number of enticing MNF player props that we can target in this game for Ollie Gordon II, Mason Taylor, Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Fields.
Let's dive into my four Jets vs Dolphins player props for Monday Night Football.
Jets vs Dolphins Player Props
- Ollie Gordon II Over 21.5 Rushing Yards (-115 at BetMGM)
- Mason Taylor Over 19.5 Receiving Yards (-120 at Caesars)
- Tua Tagovailoa Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-115 at Bet365)
- Justin Fields Anytime Touchdown (+240 at BetMGM)
Jets vs Dolphins Prop Picks, Preview
The Dolphins might have lost to the Bills last week, but they showed real fight.
The addition of Ollie Gordon to the offense really helped give them something. The rookie has three times as many carries as he did in the first two weeks combined, and he rewarded the team with 38 rushing yards at 4.2 yards per carry and a touchdown.
There was a period of time when Ollie Gordon was looked at as a potential superstar in the NFL, and perhaps his stock has fallen more than it should have when he was drafted in the sixth round of this year’s NFL Draft.
His athleticism and vision really showed against the Bills, and with his bigger body, he’s a great complement for De’Von Achane.
It feels like the genie is out of the bottle now, and given the praise that he’s received from Mike McDaniel, we can be confident that Gordon will continue to be used as part of this offense, which should result in his covering fairly easily here.
Pick: Ollie Gordon Over 21.5 Rushing Yards (-115 at BetMGM)
From one rookie to another.
This time, we’re switching sidelines and taking on a player freshly drafted by the Jets: tight end Mason Taylor.
The team selected Taylor in the second round this April. Over the past three games, there’s been an attempt made to get the former LSU man more involved, and we’ve seen his targets increase each week, from one to two to six against the Bucs last time out.
Taylor has had games of 20, 18, and five yards this season, hardly huge numbers, but he has a real opportunity to have a big Monday night against the Dolphins.
Miami has given up 214 yards to tight ends this season, one of the highest amounts in the NFL. There’s no real competition in the TE room, and given that the Dolphins have allowed an average of 71.3 yards to tight ends per game, we could see Taylor cover a low total of 19.5.
Pick: Mason Taylor Over 19.5 Receiving Yards (-120 at Caesars)
You never feel totally safe backing Tua Tagovailoa, given that he is capable of having some truly horrific performances.
However, following his disastrous opening to the season that saw him throw one touchdown pass and two interceptions in the heavy defeat to the Colts, he’s bounced back.
In his previous two games, he’s thrown for multiple touchdown passes and minimized his interceptions. He’s now thrown two or more touchdowns in seven of 14 games going back to the start of last season.
Pick: Tua Tagovailoa Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-115 at Bet365)
Our final bet feels like outrageous value, as we can expect a significant return on our stake if Justin Fields finds the end zone.
I’m going to be totally honest here, I actually had to double check that these odds were correct because they surprised me so much. Fields is cleared from injury and will start for the Jets, and in his one career game against the Dolphins, he had 178 rushing yards and a touchdown, as well as another three through the air.
He's already had two rushing touchdowns in two games this season and has 21 rushing touchdowns across his career. The allure of Fields has always been the threat that he possesses with his legs, and it’s why teams have consistently taken a chance on him, in the hope they can fix his arm.
That rushing ability can come into play on Monday, though, with the Dolphins having given up the most rushing touchdowns to quarterbacks this season (three), with Drake Maye and Daniel Jones both finding success against this defense.
Pick: Justin Fields Anytime Touchdown (+240 at BetMGM)
