They’re still winning the majority of their games, but this Eagles team doesn’t look as dangerous as the one that we saw last season, and a lot of that comes from their inability to dominate on the ground to the same degree.

The tush push doesn’t seem to be as effective as it once was, with an offensive line that has downgraded since last season.

We’ve even seen the great Saquon Barkley’s yards per carry drop from 5.7 last season to 3.9 this season. With the running game not really firing, it’s no surprise that we’ve seen QB Jalen Hurts using his legs less than before, a noticeable change during this season.

Over the first four games, Hurts had at least nine rushing attempts per game, scoring four rushing touchdowns. In the latter five games, he’s not managed to go above seven rushing attempts and has only found the end zone once.

The team isn’t relying on him to rush, and neither should you.

Pick: Jalen Hurts Under 7.5 Rushing Attempts (-120; Fanatics)

Interestingly, over that recent five-game span, we’ve seen wide receiver DeVonta Smith really emerge as an essential piece of this offense and key to their ability to move the chains.

Over the first four games of the season, he had only one game with seven or more targets and one game with an average of more than 14 yards per catch.

Since then, he’s had more than 14 yards per catch in four of five. Crucially, he’s had a real increase to 42 targets in that run, meaning an average of 8.4 targets per game, hauling in an average of 6.2 catches per game.

With the Lions defense worse against the pass than the run, expect more action for Smith here.

Pick: DeVonta Smith Over 4.5 Receptions (-107; DraftKings)

Jahmyr Gibbs Over 60.5 Rushing Yards (-114)

When you see Jahmyr Gibbs’ rushing yards total as low as 60.5, you simply have to bet it.

Gibbs is one of the best running backs in the NFL and a key to how the Lions play. He’s broken the 60.5 rushing-yard line in six of his nine games this season. Most importantly, he smashed this in his most recent game, gaining 142 yards on the ground at an average of 9.5 yards per carry.

Why does it matter how he did against the Commanders? Well, that was Dan Campbell calling plays, and that produced Gibbs’ best game of the season so far.

The Lions' offensive line ranks in the top five in terms of Run Block Line Yards, and they are facing a defense giving up an average of 118.6 yards on the ground per game.

We’ve seen opposing running backs break the 60-yard barrier in five of the Eagles’ nine games, and Gibbs should match that here.

Pick: Jahmyr Gibbs Over 60.5 Rushing Yards (-114; FanDuel)

Jahmyr Gibbs Anytime Touchdown (-110)

We’re doubling down on Gibbs by backing the Lions’ running back to find the end zone.

With Campbell calling plays, Gibbs had a blockbuster performance and found the end zone three times: two on the ground and one through the air. He’s now scored 10 times in nine games and will be full of confidence here.

The Eagles have given up 11 touchdowns in nine games to opposing running backs, with three of those coming through the air.

Given how well the Lions use Gibbs in the passing game — finding ways to get him into the open field — this gives us a strong chance to see him score, despite such short odds.

Pick: Jahmyr Gibbs Anytime Touchdown (-110; Hard Rock)
