They’ve played the 4th most zone coverage this season too. Goff sees his Checkdown% increase against zone & under pressure: • vs Zone: 16.1% —> 20.0% • Under Pressure: 16.1% —> 17.7% Gibbs has been elite as a receiver vs zone with a 90.7 PFF receiving grade, catching 35 passes on 36 targets (97.2%) and a low -1.2 avg aDOT. DET may have a tough time running the ball too as DAL’s defense has allowed the LOWEST Yards after Contact per Attempt (1.1) since Week 10. Their offense is just extremely banged up with Sam Laporta, Brock Wright, & Kalif Raymond all OUT & Amon-Ra St.Brown unlikely to play. Given all the injuries, I’d expect Dan Campbell to scheme up some plays for Jahmyr Gibbs in the passing game. Since Dan Campbell has taken over playcalling, Gibbs is avg 7 targets per game & before last week’s game, the offense had its 3 highest PROE games of the season. I’d expect the Lions to have to throw the ball a lot to have success & Gibbs to be a huge part of the gameplan.
