Only one team in the NFL is giving up an average of over 100 receiving yards per game to opposing tight ends, and that’s the Detroit Lions, who have been shredded for 351 yards by opposing TEs this season.

Over the past two weeks, we’ve seen Kenyon Sadiq accrue 105 yards, and just a week earlier, Dalton Kincaid put up 95.

That isn’t to say that Darren Waller is as good as either Kincaid or Sadiq, but the veteran is a better pass catcher than fellow TE Tommy Tremble. The 34-year-old Waller has quietly had a good season, averaging 37 yards per game. Last week, he also saw a season-high eight targets, proving that volume should be there.

If Jalen Coker fails in his efforts to return for SNF, a significant volume of targets will remain, but I’m still bullish even if the wideout does suit up.

With an average of 11.2 yards per catch, Waller could break this total very quickly.

Pick: Darren Waller Over 26.5 Receiving Yards (-114, FanDuel)

We’re doubling down on Waller here as I’m very bullish on the former Dolphin, who has already scored twice this season.

His athleticism will help him against a Detroit defense that has allowed six touchdowns to opposing TEs this season. In fact, the Lions have allowed multiple tight ends to score in every single game so far.

Over the past three weeks, they’ve allowed Kenyon Sadiq, Jeremy Ruckert, Dalton Kincaid, Dawson Knox, Juwan Johnson and Noah Fant to find the end zone.

It’s probably worth having a small sprinkle on Waller to score 2+ touchdowns, or even on his partner Tommy Tremble to score.

Pick: Darren Waller Anytime Touchdown (+270, FanDuel)

It’s simply essential to back Jahmyr Gibbs to break this rushing line here, and I’d be confident in him covering anything south of 100 yards.

He’s broken 94.5 rushing yards in two of three games this year, but what really stands out is the volume. We’re in an era of running back by committee, but Gibbs really is a true bell cow with 65 carries to his name this season.

He's quick, explosive and agile and faces a Panthers defense that has struggled to stop the run. They’ve allowed the most rushing yards per game (193.3).

The 5.86 yards per carry they’ve allowed opposing running backs is also a league high, by some margin.

Pick: Jahmyr Gibbs Over 94.5 Rushing Yards (-114, FanDuel)
