Lambeau Field will be even greener this Saturday with the Jets visiting the Packers in Green Bay. Matt LeFleur's team is the favorite, which is unsurprising based on last year's performances, although this Jets team is looking very different.
The good news for viewers is that we're going to see starters for both New York and Green Bay, so make sure to tune in to NFL Network at 8 p.m. ET to watch.
Let's get into my Jets vs Packers prediction and my NFL predictions for Week 1.

NFL Picks: Preseason Week 1
Sometimes in preseason we enter games relatively blind about personnel, but we have a lot more information heading into this Jets vs. Packers clash.
For the Packers, we know that we're going to see starters with LeFleur confirming that he has a set number of snaps that he'll have the first-string in for. That means we're going to see a little bit of Jordan Love, who will be looking to take a leap this season and improve on what was a good 2024 showing. Last year, Love had reps in the opener before being rested until the regular season, and we should see similar here. It's worth remembering that Love threw a touchdown pass for Dontayvion Wicks in limited snaps last year.
LeFleur has also told us that he plans to get the other three quarterbacks on the roster involved, too, meaning we'll have sightings of Malik Willis, Sean Clifford, and Taylor Elgersma. He has also said that Willis will get the majority of snaps, which is good news for bettors given how well he performed when called upon last season. We also get a chance to see Matthew Golden, who has lit up training camp, as well as Savion Williams, who could also be a dynamic player for this offense.
Aaron Glenn has spoken well since being hired as the Jets' Head Coach and has underlined how seriously he takes preseason by saying that "every time we go on the grass, the first thing I expect is to win." With that in mind, it's no surprise that we're going to see starters get snaps this Saturday. The first-string defense could be an important factor here, for as long as they're on the field.
At this point, we know who Justin Fields is as a quarterback, but he's still dangerous and could cause the Packers problems despite limited snaps. Behind him is Tyrod Taylor, who is Questionable, and we're still unsure if he'll play. If Taylor plays, then the Jets have a real shot at winning, but if not, then it seems unlikely Adrian Martinez and Brady Cook have the talent under center to score on the Packers.

Jets vs Packers Predictions
LeFleur has a losing record in preseason as an NFL Head Coach, yet his teams have a winning record in the opening week, which indicates the number of starters he plays. There's no doubt that Glenn will want his Jets team to start strong, but over 50% of their roster have between zero and two years of experience in the league.
Meanwhile, Green Bay has a real mix of veteran talent and exciting rookies. If we're going to get a quarter of Love versus Fields, then there's only one winner, so let's take the Packers -0.5 in the first half.
Pick: Packers -0.5 1H (-110, via Fanatics)
