The 164 days between now and the start of the 2019 NFL regular season did not stop sportsbooks from offering betting odds for the season-opening game.
While the rest of the schedule has yet to be released, the Green Bay Packers will take on the Chicago Bears on Sept. 5 at Soldier Field to kick off the new season.
The FanDuel Sportsbook wasted no time, opening the Bears as 4-point home favorites against their NFC North rivals. Chicago is also a -194 favorite on the moneyline, with Green Bay available at +166.
At the time of writing, an over/under for Packers-Bears has not yet been posted.
The two teams split last season's meetings with Green Bay topping Chicago, 24-23, in Week 1 then the Bears exacting revenge in the Week 15 matchup, 24-17.
According to betting odds from the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas, the Bears are favored to take the NFC North at +160. The Packers are +200, which is tied with the Minnesota Vikings.
Interestingly, Westgate's Super Bowl futures give Green Bay the slightly better odds at +1400 compared to Chicago's +1600.
