Seahawks vs Texans Preview, Parlay Picks

Under 41

The market has brought this game total down a point since opening, and indications are that it could continue to drop until kickoff. Although neither team has a reputation for defense, the numbers suggest otherwise.
The Texans have allowed the fewest points per game and the third-fewest yards per game. On the other side, the Seahawks are not far behind, ranking sixth in points allowed and 12th in yards per game allowed.
What amplifies this is that each offense has a glaring area of inefficiency, which we'll capitalize on with the following legs of this parlay.

Jayden Higgins Under 31.5 Receiving Yards

Christian Kirk is ruled out, and that means one of Xavier Hutchinson or Jayden Higgins is primed to step up into the No. 2 wide receiver role for the Texans. While many point to Higgins taking this role, Hutchinson has actually earned more targets this season.
However, the lack of receiving options has also led to the Texans changing their offensive philosophy this season as they've run the ball at the 13th-highest rate in the NFL.
While the Texans may be facing a banged-up Seahawks secondary, Higgins has not done enough to earn a larger role in this offense that has limited passing opportunities anyway.
Fade him until proven otherwise.

Zach Charbonnet Under 36.5 Rushing Yards

Now, we switch sides and target Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet.
Charbonnet’s role has declined. Despite earning high-value touches in the green zone, he’s been terribly inefficient.
Charbonnet has averaged 12 rushing attempts per game, but has gained just 2.8 yards per carry. He is in for another tough night as the Texans are eighth in yards per rush allowed and could cause plenty of trouble for the Seahawks' ground game overall.

Sam Darnold Over 29.5 Pass Attempts

We round out our parlay by building on the angle above.
With the Seahawks' running game likely to be nonexistent, look for the ball to be in Sam Darnold's hands quite a bit.
Darnold has averaged 27 pass attempts per game, and he should be allowed to throw the ball much more going forward. It's been up to him and his receiving corps to pick up the slack, and he has done so to his credit.
Darnold leads the NFL in yards per pass and Seattle ranks fourth in sack rate allowed. It's time for Seattle to adjust offensively, and we should see them do so tonight, regardless of the game script.
