Jaxon Smith-Njigba is arguably the best receiver in the NFL — even when he’s not open, he’s open. Sam Darnold knows this and has made it a priority to target Smith-Njigba often.
Smith-Njigba owns a 30% target share in the playoffs; he also led all receivers in target share per game at 32%.
Patriots CB Christian Gonzalez has had some struggles in coverage all season and the Patriots overall rank 31st in defensive DVOA vs WR1s.
Look for Darnold to target Smith-Njigba early. I wouldn’t be shocked if he scores the first touchdown of the Super Bowl.
Already the clear bell-cow running back for the Seahawks, the stage is set for Kenneth Walker to have a big rushing game in Super Bowl 60.
Walker has already scored four touchdowns in two playoff games. The Seahawks also rushed the ball at third-highest rate in NFL during regular season.
The Seahawks are projected to lead for a good chunk of this game as 4.5-point favorites so this set Walker up well for a potential touchdown.
I've stated it a number of times already and I'll state it again: Drake Maye to score a touchdown is my favorite bet in this game.
Maye led the NFL in total scrambles and was second in scrambles per game behind Patrick Mahomes. Maye's scramble rate tends to take a jump when not being blitzed — the Seahawks were bottom-5 in blitz rate per game this season.
In a potential trailing gamescript with a lot of dropbacks, I like Maye to call his own number near the goal line and get the score.
