Polymarket traders are all-in on Andrei Vasilevskiy winning his second Vezina Trophy.

"The Big Cat" is a virtual lock to take home the 2025-26 Vezina Trophy, with his closest competitor, Jeremy Swayman, sitting a distant distance away.

The Vezina winner will be announced on June 30th, when this market closes. Traders aren't chasing ghosts here: they are simply reacting to the math. Right now, every metrics-driven model points toward the Tampa Bay star collecting his second Vezina.

Vezina Trophy Polymarket Predictions

Over 58 starts, Vasilevskiy posted a 39-15-4 record with a 2.31 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage. In today's high-scoring environment, those numbers carry weight.

The Russian goalie also pieced together an 18-game point streak from late December through late February, going 17-0-1 with a 1.90 GAA and a .925 save percentage during that stretch. That kind of sustained excellence guided the Lightning to their ninth consecutive postseason appearance.

This marks his sixth time as a Vezina finalist, a feat matched by only three other goaltenders in the modern era: Martin Brodeur, Patrick Roy, and Dominik Hasek. He won the award in 2018-19 and finished second twice.

Vasilevskiy just became only the second goaltender in NHL history to record nine consecutive 30-win seasons. The other? Brodeur.

Analysing the Competition

Swayman had a stellar year in Boston, leading the league with 38 starts and registering a save percentage over .900. His 31 wins helped the Bruins claim the first wild-card spot after they missed the playoffs entirely last season. He's fundamentally sound, calm under pressure, and makes the saves he's supposed to make.

And then there is Sorokin, who led the league with seven shutouts and posted elite numbers in high-danger situations, but the Islanders missed the playoffs. When asked about his chances of winning the trophy, Sorokin was refreshingly blunt: "There's no chance. And I never think about this. I think about making the playoffs, and that didn't happen this year."

At this point, trading against the Big Cat feels less like a calculated risk and more like a donation. The market has decided. Now, we just wait for the formality.
