Many signs point to GTA 6 actually launching before 2027 despite previous setbacks, with Kalshi and Polymarket traders generally echoing that sentiment. Do you agree?

Polymarket live odds for the 'GTA 6 launch postponed again?' market are generally bullish on 2026 being the year it finally happens.
At ~$350,000, Polymarket's overall trading volume is much lower than Kalshi's. This is partially the result of the market opening on November 7th, 2025, whereas Kalshi's opened on May 3rd. At this time, Polymarket users believe there's a ~21% chance of a postponement announced on (or prior to) the November 19th release date.

GTA 6 Live Odds: Kalshi vs. Polymarket
Before comparing GTA 6 live odds on Kalshi and Polymarket, it's important to understand the differences in how each market is worded and in its available outcomes.
On Kalshi, it's the 'GTA 6 release date?' market, with popular outcomes being 'Before 2027', 'Before December 2026', and 'Before October 2026,', among others. As such, Kalshi market rules state that multiple outcomes will resolve to 'Yes' if GTA 6 is released on any major platform (PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and/or Windows) before the month and/or year indicated by each outcome.
For example, if GTA 6 launches on time, both the 'Before December 2026' and 'Before 2027' outcomes mentioned above would resolve to 'Yes'. Alternatively, if GTA 6 ended up launching in December, only the 'Before 2027' outcome would resolve to 'Yes'.
The volume of GTA 6 release date outcomes available on Kalshi may increase your overall odds of winning, should you buy contracts from more than one outcome. That said, your net profit would be lower if the trading volume pot were split among several traders across multiple outcomes.
On Polymarket, the 'GTA 6 Launch Postponed Again?' market simply has a 'Yes' or 'No' outcome regarding whether the game will launch by the expected November 19th release date. Per official Polymarket rules, this market will resolve to "Yes" if by November 19, 2026 (11:59 PM ET), Rockstar Games or its parent company, Take-Two Interactive, officially announces that GTA 6 will not be released by November 19, 2026, or otherwise not released in the US by November 19, 2026 (11:59 PM ET).
Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". This is interesting, as the Kalshi market will only resolve once GTA 6 is available, whereas a Polymarket "Yes" outcome can also resolve from an announcement regarding a delay.
GTA 6 Release Date Final Thoughts
At the end of the day, Take-Two Interactive has a lot riding on this release, and company president Karl Slatoff is adamant that November 19th is locked in. Despite what history may tell us, it's hard to imagine that this time would bring about yet another disastrous delay.
With similar contract price value, choosing whether to buy contracts on Kalshi or Polymarket ultimately comes down to what kind of trader you are. If you prefer binary trading, we'd recommend buying Polymarket GTA 6 "No" contracts for ~80 cents each.
For those who'd rather have more options and a little leeway, we'd recommend buying Kalshi GTA 6 "Yes" contracts for the "Before December 2026" outcome.
