European Soccer Odds, Picks, Predictions: Our Top Parlay, Featuring Ajax & PSG (Oct. 24)

We close out another exciting week of soccer on the European landscape with numerous, high-powered rivalry matches taking place. And that means we have some pretty big clubs featured in Sunday's two-team parlay.

The latest highlighted play has Brett Pund partnering with Jeremy Pond, with the pair focusing on contests featuringAjax vs. PSV Eindhoven and Marseille vs. Paris Saint-Germain for the wager.

Ajax vs. PSV Eindhoven

Brett Pund: In a weekend full of big rivalry games, De Topper in the Netherlands is one of the more heated derbies between in-form teams in Ajax and PSV Eindhoven, who will square off at Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam.

There’s no way I’m betting against Ajax right now, which is why I’m backing the host for my parlay leg on the Asian Handicap spread line of -1 at -150 odds.

Beyond Bayern Munich, no other team has been as dominated in the Champions League this season as Ajax, who has won all three group-stage matches by a combined score of 11-1 to show its dominating performances.

Then, you look at the advanced metrics, where over the last five overall games manager Erik ten Hag’s squad has a +8.61 expected goals difference and 2.504 xG per match, according to infogol.net.

The Eredivisie leader has only conceded twice in its domestic campaign and won every game this season by multiple goals across all competitions. To make matters worse for PSV, talisman Cody Gakpo (seven total goals this season) came off injured in a midweek Europa League game.

That said, I’m backing Ajax to continue to roll this weekend for my parlay leg.

Pund's Pick: Ajax -1 (-135)

Marseille vs. PSG

Jeremy Pond: French powerhouse Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain square off in the latest Le Classique, closing out the thrilling Ligue 1 weekend card.

The Parisians, led by Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé, are solid -165 favorites entering this road clash. They've been almost perfect this season in the French top flight, winning nine of their 10 contests en route to a nine-point advantage over second-place Lens in the table.

On the other side, Marseille is nipping at the heels of both PSG and Lens, due to the fact it's currently third in the standings and 10 points from the top.

Both PSG and Marseille enter this showdown with solid offenses. The Parisians have been downright brilliant against their hosts, scoring at least two goals in a stunning 22 of their last 24 matches against them across all competitions. To counter that dominance, Marseille has been strong on home soil, scoring at least two goals in its last six league contests.

For those reasons, I'm backing the total to go over three goals at -125 odds via the Asian Handicap at DraftKings and will make it my top selection. This really has all the makings of being an ultra-electric showdown that should feature multiple goals at Stade Vélodrome.

My colleague, BJ Cunningham, has 2.94 xG forecasted for this matchup, so gives me even more confidence with this wager. And when you add in the fact the total has reached at least three goals in five of Marseille's last six home league games, you have to like your chances of hitting this play.
